You Love Me!

 Like a newborn gosling imprints 

Upon the first provider 

I imprinted on you

You look away

You walk away

You pretend I don't exist 

You love me

I live alone

I cry alone 

I explore the world alone

You love me

Reason says it's not true 

People agree to reason.

Time has put its stamp 

But heart doesn't 

It repeats 

Like a parrot 

Like a recorder

Paying a cassette 

You love me, I know!

One

We were one people 

You and me,

Without boundaries.

Skin to skin, heart to heart.

In the stillness of blue waves in front of me,

I hear our oneness again.

I cry,

For my unawareness

And for yours, 

Of this truth.

And for the transience of wisdom.

 

I rejoice

In the truth of the moment,

For the place I found within,

where we are 

Still one.

You set the sails,

Waved at me and moved on

I sat by the shore

Saw you leave, 

waved back and lived on

When it rained, 

I felt your tears.

When wind blew softly

I heard your voice

'Move on', you said

'Live on', I heard, 'till I come back'.

'Find someone', you said

'I'm the someone, always', I heard.

When soft winds blew

I felt my tears

I heard my own frantic voice 

'No, no. This can't happen'

What is it that

I am clinging to? 

My trust in strength of love

Or my hope for survival?
